Attorney William A. Alexander, Jr. has practiced workers' compensation law for almost thirty years. He is well known in Colorado courts for using unique and novel legal theories to fight for the rights of injured workers, pushing the frontiers of law, and fighting to make new law.

Over the course of his distinguished career, Bill has taken numerous cases up to the Colorado Court of Appeals and Colorado Supreme Court. He has been the appellate attorney for over 30 published and 100 unpublished workers' compensation decisions. Some of his most recent appellate cases include:

  • Williams v. Kunau, 147 P.3d 33 (Colo 2006): Colorado Supreme Court case holding claimants have the right to a follow up Division Independent Medical Exam to determine maximum medical improvement at the insurance company's expense.
  • ICAO v. Ray, 145 P.3d 661 (Colo. 2006): Colorado Supreme Court case holding the cost of replacement health insurance must be included in the average weekly wage regardless of whether the claimant elects coverage.
  • City of Colorado Springs v. ICAO, 89 P.3d 504 (Colo. App. 2004): Court of Appeals case holding the statute of limitations does not begin to run until the onset of disability.
